E006: Embracing Your Inner Child w/ Jahmie Lynn

Episode Summary

Are you holding space for your inner child? Doing things to honor your inner child’s needs? Embracing your inner child is about finding the balance between allowing your inner child to be present in the world and how that affects other people. It’s also about having an active relationship with your inner child, looking inside, and giving yourself permission to show up. In an ideal world, you’d expect a star child to become a star adult, but that wasn’t the case for our guest Jahmie Lynn. Jahmie grew up as a dancer and a star of the show, but it’s the outside voices that made her recoil and develop impostor syndrome. Through dance and the connection she learned with her body paired with personal development work, she now expresses herself as a facilitator in mind-body balance through coaching, workshops, or retreats. She has learned to embrace her inner child by allowing herself to state her opinion that she didn’t feel like she had as a child. Jahmie describes her seven-year-old self and the shaky process of dealing with the impostor process that stems from childhood experiences. Listen in to learn how to create a safe space for healing, self-acceptance, self-love, self-care, and personal growth.
